According to the concept of the International League against Epilepsy and the criteria of the European Academy of Epileptology (Eurepa), since 2003, our Union of Leagues initiated the series (cycle) of Epilepsy schools.
16th Epilepsy school and 6th Regional Epilepsy Neeting were organized by the Union of Leagues against Epilepsy on November 07-09th, 2015 in the Hunting manor „Castel“, Ecka, Serbia.
Local organization was given to Dr.Jasmina Trifunjagić (Zrenjanin). Both events were estimated as very successful ones.
17th EPILEPSY SCHOOL was organized by the Union of Serbian and Montenegrin Leagues against Epilepsy, on November 27-29, 2015 in the Hotel „Cattaro“(Kotor, Montenegro)
Main Epilepsy School topic: “Which time is appropriate for decisions in the clinical management of patients with epilepsy?”
Pharmaceutical companies partly supported the organization of the 16th Epilepsy School. No special promotion of any antiepileptic drug is encouraged.

• Seventeenth Epilepsy School rallied invited students from Serbia, Montenegro, Republic of Srpska/Bosnia Herzegowina. The course was limited to a maximum of 30 applicants to allow an optimal level of interaction with the trainees. Applicants were selected on the basis of their submitted case report paper.
• Plenary lectures, case reports, prepared by participants, tutorials, moderator’s presentation on selected topics, case oriented learning and small group work were the didactic format of the School.
• Applicants, who successfully realized the Workshop program, received the CERTIFICATE.
• Workshop was accredited and included in CME.
By decision No. 460 from 17.11.2015, Commission for CME of the Montenegrin Physician Association has accredited the educational course “17th Epilepsy School“ with 4/8 credit points for participants/lecturers.
A CD with Proceedings entitled “Which time is appropriate for decisions in the clinical management of patients with epilepsy?” (ISBN 86-84963-60-6) was prepared and included slide-handouts of lectures. That material was distributed to all applicants during the education.
REGISTRATION FEE
Registration fee of 150 Eur included: admission to the educational program, accommodation (two days in double-bedded room) workshop material, coffee breaks, lunch, dinner – farewell party and Certificate of attendance.
Number of participants was restricted to 30.

Speakers were asked to timely prepare and submit hand-outs of theirs power-point presentations. This material was collected in a form of CD and it was distributed to all applicants during the school.
Before the beginning of the school, each applicant has prepared with Case report from his own clinical epileptology practice. Reported cases were further discussed. Case reports presentation were organized as small-group sessions. Sessions were coordinated and evaluated by (co)moderators (minimum 2 per session).

A Group of 29 students finished the 17th Epilepsy School.
SOCIAL PROGRAM
The orthodox church of Sveti Luka (St. Luke) in Kotor, located on the square Piazza Greca, was built in 1195. Daskal Dimitrij the founder of Boka Kotorska painting school Rafailovic did the iconostasis of the church from XVII century.
School participants visited this old church. They were very friendly and cordially welcomed by the priests Mr. M.Krivokapic, church superior, Mr. N.Krivokapić and Mr. M.Jokić.
